Get your child's interest in astronomy going with this home planetarium. Children of all ages will be fascinated as they watch their ceiling and walls transform into a starry night sky. Besides learning about constellations and planets, children will hear ancient myths associated with the solar system on the included CD.
Study the ancient patterns of stars, planets and constellations.

The Star Theater 2 is a home planetarium that includes an interactive meteor maker. This halogen star projector transforms a darkened room into a 360 degree space theater. Projects hundreds of stars, planets, and constellations on your living room or child's bedroom walls and ceiling.

Included is a CD that provides a guided audio tour of the night sky that stores under the base of the Star Theater. Please note that the Star Theater does not contain a CD player.

A luminescent compass lets you orient the theater to project constellations accurate to the season, month, day, even the hour.

The detachable main unit glows in the dark and makes a great outdoor star locator.

Includes activity guide and instructions.

Require 5 AAA batteries, not included.

Ages 6 and up.
Grades 1 and up.

My seven year old daughter loves her new star theater. As long as the room is not too large the effect is really cool.

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my son after having purchased less sophisticated planetarium-simulating devices through school book clubs. Unfortunately, this item, like the others, is a waste of money. The light wand connection is improperly fabricated and would not activate to light the bulb for the projection of the planets. The "spring" in the base of the wand does not push up the battery cartridge to make contact. My husband looked at it and said it is a piece of junk. Purchasers should not have to rewire a cheaply manufactured item to get it to work. Don't waste your money!

My daughter loved this Christmas present. She has played with it everynight since I put batteries in it. We thought of getting this after taking her to a planetarium. Her age is 7. The only thing I wish is that it would come with an AC adapter.
