I bought this set for my 5 year old and the whole family has been enjoying it. I do think that the age recommendation should probably be for ages 7 and up due to the fact that the peices are small and hard for my 5 year old to keep track of. THe box is gorgeous but no 5 year old is going to be able to put all the peices away again in there. I love that this is a creative toy and one that we are all happy to play with

My 5 year old son rarely sits still, but stayed in one spot for hours playing with this toy. He really loved it. The wooden storage box was great, but could use some stronger glue on the dividers - ours broke out very quickly, but I can easily glue them back in place. It does take some patience to get the pieces back in the box, but once you're done, they are very neatly organized. I'm thinking that process will help my son with learning the discipline of organization and cleanup.

I really like the set. It is a bit pricey, but the kids love it. The wooden box is nice, but we are having trouble getting all of the pieces into the box neatly (as they are magnetized) and get the top closed. Any suggestions?
