  More from the MuseumTour expert:
Did you know that scientists and archeologists continue to make new discoveries about the Pharaoh Tutankhamen? Studies and X-Rays of the mummy and his tomb done in 1920, 1968, 1978, 2005 and 2007 have all revealed new and fascinating information. For instance, the 2005 CT Scan revealed that the famous Pharaoh was about 19 years old when he died, stood about 5 foot 7 inches tall, had a slight build, and an overbite.
Allow a child to feel the excitement of making her own discoveries and restorations with this highly-recommended kit.

Recreate your very own King Tut!
If you watch todays popular crime scene investigation TV shows or historical documentaries, youve seen the fascinating process of reconstructing a face from a long-lost skull.

This kit delivers that combination of pure science and forensic art into your own hands! You begin by placing scientifically measured pegs into pre-determined points all around the skull. These pegs act as a guide for the depth of the clay and enable you to sculpt lifelike muscle and flesh. Working in layers (many call it sculpting by numbers), you build up startling detail until a completed face is staring back at you! Teeth, even skin texture, add the final note of realism.

Kit includes skull, pegs, clay modeling strips, step-by-step manual, and instructional DVD.

Ages 9 and up.
Grades 4 and up.

When my daughter saw this in your catolog she was so excitied. It came quickly when we ordered. My daughter really enjoys all things related to history and egypt. It was informative on how they recontruct those before us and it is a great way to spend time with your kids.

I found this gem for my niece. We had recently read an incredible article in National Geographic about the digital facial reconstruction of Tutankhamun, and I felt it was a great way to reinforce her understanding. We had a great time applying the clay to the model! A great toy for aspiring forensics experts, or any child that likes to build things!
