Build with VEXPlorer, the Tournament-Worthy Robotics System
Here's technology with an edge: imagination with an attitude. VEXplorer is designed for:
Exploration - to go where you want, and maybe where you shouldn't
Imagination - to build it your way - to make it do what you want it to do
Challenge - to do something you haven't before, or that no one has thought of before
With over 300 parts, VEXplorer can be built in endless configurations. Included are features
found in no other robotic system:
The Claw - build it to pick up a soda can or a feather. Mount it horizontal or vertical to grab what you want.
The Arm - servo motors let you manipulate the action to reach high, low and in-between.
The Spycam - see and hear what you want, and maybe in places you shouldn't, with live picture and sound transmission to your TV. Range 150 feet.
All Terrain Tires - Go anywhere, inside or outside, with heavy-duty, gear-driven wheels.
6-Channel Hobby Class Transmitter - multiple digital channels offer maximum flexibility to control servos and provide exceptional stability to avoid frequency drift.
Also includes 4 servos, 24 gears, various coated heavy metal parts, cables, harnesses, tools, screws, nuts, bolts, etc.
VEXplorer Plus comes with 7.2 Battery Pack and Charger and Tank Tread System that allows
unit to be made into a tank or can be used for a conveyor belt. Also includes bonus articulating
wrist join to provide dexterity to the arm and camera with USB Cable.
VEXPlorer is used in colleges and universities, such as Purdue and Georgia Tech,
and is related to the VEX Robotic System used by Carnegie Mellon University and FIRST™
(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).
