Flower Lights - Flower Lights - Multicolor
More from the MuseumTour expert:
The skeleton leaves used to make the flower lights are very difficult to prepare. First the leaves are soaked in a slow moving river for 6 weeks. Next, the flesh of the leaves is painstakingly rubbed off by hand, leaving just the skeleton structure. The delicate, translucent veins are very beautiful, and the entire leaf is both strong and durable as a result of this chemical-free treatment process.

These elegant lights are hand-made from real rubber tree leaves, producing a soft, translucent glow that can't be duplicated with synthetic materials. The leaves come from a protected forest in Thailand, where this handicraft provides an alternative to logging. Just mist with water and the leaves bloom open, showcasing their natural beauty. Strand includes 20 lights with end-to-end connectors, and a 9' cord. Includes 2 extra lights and one extra fuse. For indoor and outdoor use; UL approved.
