Use the end of the school year to reflect and re-evaluate your current curriculum and assess your teaching strategies.
While the school year is winding down, spend a few minutes reflecting on the success of your current curriculum, lesson plans and supplies to see what can be added to create a better learning experience for your future classes.
The end of the school year is the perfect time to organize and “spruce-up” tired lessons and unit plans. After evaluating each unit of study and the different instructional approaches used, create an ideal unit plan to include a (reasonable) timeline, supplies and assessment tools to better the unit the next time around. This will provide valuable time the following year to spend instructing and providing individualized feedback for students.
~ Add value by differentiating instruction to open the curriculum for more students to comprehend important concepts. Provide software, such as “Writer's Companion” to assist children at all levels learn the writing process.

Add new ways to assess learning using the multiple intelligences approach.

Find supplemental materials that can add excitement and educational value to your lessons. For example, to supplement an elementary geometry unit, purchase a set of the “Adventures of Sir Cumference” series that combines math with literature.

Find ways to integrate your curriculum across subjects at your school to improve test scores.

Find fun and educational games to supplement all subject areas. This will ensure students are learning even with their free-time. Here are some of our favorite, fun choices:
